Patricia Solaimanian: I have lived in New York most of my life, but presently reside in New Jersey with my fiancé. I received my MA in applied linguistics and am currently retired from a thirty-year teaching career in New York City. Two years ago I published a book, "See Saw" Finding Balance Through Life's Ups and Downs. It is a memoir based on my life while living with someone with bipolar disorder. My story is not to teach about the disorder, but rather share how I practiced self-care during difficult times. I am divorced and have two beautiful daughters who share their lives with their father and me. Now in retirement I hope to get started on writhing another book, but for now enjoy writing little essays about everyday observations and events in my life. I enjoy practicing yoga, taking long walks in nature, and learning to create new and delicious meals. Travelling and exploring new places brings me much happiness. In my posts if my words should trigger something within, please share and I will gladly respond.
